Inner finishings are essential. The larger part of the walls are cladding-free, except where wiring and pipes need to be hidden . Colours’ lightness is generally high to enhance the natural light’s diffusion, and with cool hues, whereas saturation could be both low (in the main spaces not to strain the eyes) and high (in the bathrooms and stairwells). Tadelakt, the traditional Moroccan plastering technique, is employed for the bathrooms’ walls and flooring’s finishing. Wood can be used both natural and with a light glaze. Wooden boards complete the main rooms’ flooring.

The inner court is featured with white tents and with cane panels coating the bordering walls, with the blue shutters standing out.

Doors and bulwark are made of sheet metal (either perforated or not) to enforce the Qasbaum ’s “spartan” and industrial feature. The fixtures are made of iron, because thermal bridges do not represent a problem in the current context.

The Kitchen (Module n° 2, first level) is at the same level of the inner court.

Both the technological choices and the finishing ones, colours included, depend on the site’s location. In a cold climate, warm colours’ hues are preferred and white sliding shutters improve the natural lighting reflection. The external coating accounts for the winter harshness.
